The online survey pooled 2143 adults, 1329 of which were parents, on their feelings on gaming with the following results being found:
# By 74 percent to 7 percent parents are concerned about the content of some videogames.
# By 79 percent to 6 percent parents think videogames may affect the behaviour of some children.
# By 74 percent to 5 percent parents believe videogames should be regulated by an independent regulator.
# By 77 percent to 4 percent parents believe videogame ratings should reflect the concerns of UK parents.
# By 82 percent to 3 percent parents believe it would help them if videogames used the same ratings as films and DVDs.
The survey was started by the British Board of Film Classification and is now debating whether or not to classify video games themselves or whether to continue to let the PEGI classifications remain
